The Gurung community around the world is celebrating their greatest festival, Tamu Lhosar, by organizing different programs. On the occasion of entering into the Bird Year from Monkey Year, the Gurung community at home and in the world are celebrating their festival with fanfare.
Every year on the 15th of Paush month of Nepali calendar, Lho, change of Barga, year, as per the Gurung Community that is celebrated as Lhosar festival. On the occasion of Lhosar, different programs are being organized at Tundikhel of Kathmandu as well.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda was invited as the chief guest in the program where people from Tamu community living in the capital had shown their heavy presence in their traditional outfit. They had also dances to Jhaki, traditional dance of Gurung community to entertain the people gathered in the venue.
Above 100 food stalls of traditional food items of Gurung community were one of the main attractions at the program where guests and attendants were seen enjoying the food items
